Fix the “Remote Play is disabled” 403 error on a jailbroken PS5
Pairing worked, but the stream won’t start and you see one of these:
Error code: 403 Remote Play is disabled on your console.(PXPlay)0x80108b12(Chiaki and chiaki-ng; the original Chiaki shows it as unknown)
It often comes with a greyed-out Enable Remote Play setting, and it usually affects users other than the first one on the console. This page collects what the jailbreak tools’ documentation and their users report, as of October 2026. We haven’t tested these tools ourselves.
Why it happens
- Since system software 10.00, Remote Play can be turned on for each user separately. Sony’s settings page says “you can adjust this setting for each user”.
- The ActRemoteLink README explains the 403: the user “lacks the required PlayStation Network (NP) files and registry sign-in state (common for accounts created entirely offline)”.
- PIN tools such as ps5-remoteplay-get-pin work around checks that “are just in ShellUI”, the PS5’s settings screens. That is likely why pairing succeeds while the session is still refused.
Fixes people report
These tools change account and sign-in data on the console. Read each tool’s README and back up before you start.
| Fix | What to do | Firmware reported | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fake sign-in, then turn the setting on | With the user in the foreground, run np-fake-signin, reboot, then turn on Settings → System → Remote Play → Enable Remote Play. It is no longer greyed out. | Reported on 10.01; the video doesn’t say | LinkDev #1, NoFinalLevel video |
| ActRemoteLink v2.0 | Run set-id for a new user in slot 2 or higher, run fake-signin with that user in the foreground, reboot, turn on Enable Remote Play, then run pin and pair. |
Not stated | ActRemoteLink |
| etaHEN Remote Play menu | Use the Remote Play menu added in etaHEN 1.9b, which “will activate the account for you”. | Not stated | etaHEN releases |
| ps5-account-tools v1.2 | Run offline activation and fake sign-in, reboot, then pair from the system settings. If the settings lock you out, block PSN (the README uses nanoDNS) and reboot. | Built on 12.40 | ps5-account-tools |
| Use the first user | Set up Remote Play on user 1 (slot 1) instead of a second user. | 9.60 and 10.01 | etaHEN #72 |
Other error codes you might see
- CE-110032-7 or “Invalid PSN ID”: Sony describes CE-110032-7 as “PlayStation online ID information does not match”. Check that the account ID you registered is the right user’s, in the right format; the account ID converter can check it.
- 0x80fc1041:
SCE_REMOTEPLAY_ERROR_INTERNAL_REGIST_DEVICE_MISS, according to a comment in the get-pin source. - 0x80108b03: sources disagree. One project reads it as a pairing attempt that is still pending, another as a PSN account mismatch. Generate a new PIN and pair again.
With Orbit Play
Orbit Play’s account setup enables Remote Play for the profile you pair, after you review the changes, and it handles the account ID and PIN itself. That includes second users, so you don’t need a separate fake sign-in or activation tool to avoid this 403. Orbit Play has been tested on 13.60. If pairing fails, start with troubleshooting.
