PS5 jailbreak Remote Play methods by firmware

Which jailbreaks and Remote Play setup methods people report on each PS5 system software version. Firmware ranges are copied from each project, and the sources sometimes disagree. Everything here was checked on 23 October 2026. This changes quickly, so check each project’s page before you start.

Orbit Play itself has been tested on 13.60 with Relapse and Payload Manager v0.5.2. Other firmware is untested.

Firmware table

Firmware Jailbreaks, as each project states Remote Play methods reported Notes
1.00–2.70 UMTX webkit (1.xx–2.xx), PSFree with Lapse, BD-JB, LuaC0re No reports found
3.00–5.50 IPV6 (up to 4.51), UMTX2 (1.00–5.50), Y2JB (at least 4.03), etaHEN OffAct works on 3.21, per its maintainer. get-pin on 5.xx needs a host with updated offsets. On very low firmware the websrv page may not work in the PS5 browser; open it from a computer.
6.00–7.61 UMTX2 through BD-JB (to 7.61), Relapse (7.00–13.60), Poopsploit (7.00–12.00). No webkit exploit on 6.xx. get-pin supports 6.xx–7.xx. The etaHEN Remote Play menu worked on 6.50 and 7.61. OffAct showed a blank screen on 6.50.
8.00–10.01 Lapse (up to 10.01), P2JB (from 9.00), etaHEN 2.4B (8.40–10.01) OffAct works on 10.01, per its maintainer. LinkDev v0.4 adds 8.xx, 9.xx and 10.0x. The etaHEN menu on 9.60 and 10.01 worked for user 1 only. get-pin gave no response on 10.01. 10.00 added per-user Remote Play: on 10.01, extra users pair but their sessions fail with a 403 error.
10.20–12.70 P2JB (to 12.40 or 12.70; sources differ), Poopsploit (to 12.00), BD-JB5, Y2JB OffAct works on 11.60. On 12.70 it needed a build with a newer SDK. np-fake-signin: second-user Remote Play failed on 10.60, and it crashed on 12.00. The standalone OffAct and LinkDev releases are from June 2025, before the SDK added 11.xx and 12.xx; newer websrv releases bundle newer builds. One open report on 12.40 says users were wiped.
13.00–13.60 Relapse (to 13.60), BD-JB5 (up to 13.42), Y2JB 1.6 (12.60 and higher) OffAct and LinkDev builds bundled with recent websrv releases worked on 13.60 in a setup video; the older standalone OffAct release didn’t. An ActRemoteLink fork is updated for 13.x. Orbit Play is tested on 13.60. One commenter says the official etaHEN isn’t compatible with 13.60.
14.00 and later No public kernel exploit None

On every firmware

  • Reboot after activating an account. LinkDev, np-fake-signin, ActRemoteLink and Elf Arsenal all say to restart the PS5 after activation or fake sign-in.
  • Pair the logged-in user. Only the user currently logged in on the PS5 can be paired.
  • Second users need extra steps with other tools on 10.00 and later; see the 403 page. Orbit Play’s account setup handles second users itself.

With Orbit Play there’s no separate activation, PIN or account ID tool: its account setup and pairing handle them. See the FAQ for what you need.
