Convert a PS5 account ID to base64

Chiaki and chiaki-ng ask for your PSN account ID in base64 when you register a PS5 for Remote Play. Enter the ID you have and copy the base64 version. The conversion runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

What Chiaki expects

The account ID is a 64-bit number. Chiaki wants its 8 bytes in little-endian order, least significant byte first, encoded as base64. chiaki-ng’s own psn-account-id.py script does exactly this:

base64.b64encode(user_id.to_bytes(8, "little"))

A correct result is always 12 characters long and ends in a single =.

Where the account ID comes from

  • PSN accounts: the account ID is the number Sony assigns to the account, not your online ID (username). chiaki-ng’s psn-account-id.py asks you to sign in to PSN and prints the base64 form. Lookup websites can also find it from an online ID.
  • Offline accounts: a profile that has never been linked to PSN has no PSN account ID to look up. It needs a local account ID first, which is what offline activation tools create.

If Chiaki says the account ID is invalid

  • The wrong length or two = signs. Copy the whole 12-character value and nothing else, with no spaces.
  • Hex in the other byte order. This converter reads hex as a number, most significant byte first, the way it’s written with 0x. If a tool shows the bytes already reversed, the result won’t match. Compare the decimal value instead.
  • The online ID instead of the account ID. Your PSN username is not the account ID.
  • Another user’s ID. Register with the account ID of the PS5 user you’ll play as.

Skip the conversion

Orbit Play reads the account ID of the profile logged in on your jailbroken PS5 and handles the Remote Play PIN, so there’s nothing to look up or convert. For profiles never linked to PSN, its account setup creates the local account ID. Download Orbit Play or read the FAQ.
